The Situation

Cornerstone University is a Christ-centered university with a passion for global influence through the transforming power of the gospel. Cornerstone offers adult undergraduate and graduate programs through the Professional & Graduate Studies (PGS) division. The PGS division is looking to replace their reliance on PPC (paid online ads) for leads and wanted a long term SEO strategy to increase organic leads.

The Strategy

Cornerstone University joined the Skyscraper SEO strategy to improve their visibility and searchability (rank) over all of their desired keywords. Connex creates 2 articles a month and brings in (and continue to bring in) 20 new referring domains. This offers multiple benefits to the university division, they are able to have high quality content to share on social media as well as email marketing. They also have the referring domain increases which add to the overall strength of their university website.

“Connex Digital Marketing has continued to generate incredible content that we’re proud to have on our site. Some articles have been more difficult than others but the team at Connes never gives up and is working daily to improve our rankings. This has been one of the easiest vendor relationships I have had.”

The Results

We’re still early in the process and working with a .edu domain which has a significant number of referring domains. That being said since the Skyscraper SEO strategy has been implemented we’ve seen a huge up-tick in the number of referring domains, from 300 to 1,700 and the blog traffic has gone from 0 to over 2,500 page views a month.

Referring Domains

From 200 to over 1,700 referring domains (and climbing!)

Blog Traffic (Google Analytics)

From 0 to over 2,500 pageviews a month.

How would that impact your organization?
