How to Find Your Notion Workspace ID

We ask for your Notion workspace ID whenever we're connecting Notion to something else. It takes about 20 seconds to find once you know where to look. Here's the short video, and the written steps are right below it.
The steps
- Log into Notion in your browser or the desktop app.
- Find your workspace name. It used to sit at the top of the sidebar. In newer versions of Notion it's at the bottom left instead.
- Click the workspace name, then click Settings.
- In Settings, click Identity.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Identity page. Your workspace ID is there.
- Click it to copy, then paste it wherever you need it.
Your workspace ID is a 36-character string of letters, numbers, and four dashes, like
f0f21888-0225-4b8b-89ff-64c9fa6a114c. If what you copied doesn't look like that, you probably grabbed a page ID or a database ID instead.Why we ask for it
The workspace ID tells an integration which Notion workspace to talk to. A page ID or database ID points at one piece of content. The workspace ID points at the account itself, so it's what we need when we're wiring Notion into Zapier, Make, n8n, or a custom sync.
The ID on its own isn't a credential. Anyone holding it still can't see your pages. Access comes from the connection you authorize, not from the ID.
