LinkedIn's Hidden Category Mismatch: Why Your Form Conversions Are Stuck as 'Unverified
Fix unverified LinkedIn form conversions caused by category mismatches. Simple solution for stuck Zapier-HubSpot integration tracking.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
When a client's LinkedIn form conversions remained stubbornly "unverified" despite correct Zapier and HubSpot configurations, we discovered an easily overlooked culprit: category misalignment between conversion event and form.
LinkedIn's Conversions API distinguishes between "Lead" and "Qualified Lead" categories as entirely separate technical entities, not merely semantic labels. Our client had created their conversion event using one category but was trying to connect it to a form expecting the other.
This subtle distinction prevented their entire lead capture system from validating properly. The moment we aligned the categories, their previously stuck integration immediately verified.
For marketers struggling with LinkedIn form tracking issues, check this specific technical detail before diving into complex troubleshooting. Sometimes the most persistent integration problems have surprisingly simple solutions hiding in dropdown menu selections.
Next time you encounter the frustrating "unverified" status in LinkedIn conversion tracking, remember to verify category consistency across your entire setup.
